Feasibility: Will It Sell in the North-American Market?

We Conduct a Feasibility Assessment: The North American market can be a lucrative market to enter for many Asian and European companies. However, it makes sense to get local feedback before you risk large sums of money to enter the marketplace. We conduct interviews, focus groups, and gather commercial intelligence that will give you an idea what your chances of success may be in USA and Canada.

Questions: What is the total size of market. Who are the major players. What do their competing products look like. How are they positioned in the end user mind. How do they advertise. How do they differ from your products. What are the price points at import / distributor / retail / end-user levels. What are the common distribution methods. Who are the endusers. How long to enter mass-market retailers (Walmart, Target, etc.) What can we learn about them in annual reports (if public). What trade magazines and trade shows are important to include in your market penetration. Additionally, we may conduct videotaped end-user focus groups to gauge initial end user reactions to your products.

We conduct very comprehensive, detailed study of your market: We look at the search volumes, dig up and interview distributors, wholesalers, retailers and end-users. The goal is to gain a minimal understanding of the margins, distribution channels, major players, their market share volumes, their annual reports, trade magazines, trade shows, etc. Whenever possible, the interviews are videotaped or audio recorded so you will have "raw" data to view.

Objective: To provide you a very quick overview of the North-American market with sufficient data to make your own estimates of costs of entering the market, expected volumes, and proforma estimation of your success in the venture. More importantly, our aim is to highlight potential pitfalls and shortcomings before you spend large sums of money so you may address those before you come to the North American markets.
